Essential Functions

• Provide technical assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners including installations, troubleshooting and training of Websense-related products.
• Act as an interface between the sales organization and the technical staff to resolve outstanding issues.
• Assist in closing business in regional territories through field visits to major account prospects.
• Perform product demos over the web via web teleconferencing solutions.
• Provide reports on customer account and field activities to sales, product management and engineering.
• Conduct technical client meetings and provide written and verbal communication to the client.
• Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of Websense products.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in technical discipline or equivalent related field.
• 2-3 years experience as a field systems engineer calling on resellers and corporate customers.
• CCNA certification
• Strong hands-on experience with most of the following technologies required: TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routing, Network Administration, DNS/DHCP, Proxy Servers, Windows 2000, 2003, Directory Services, Radius, SQL, UNIX, Linux, Exchange and Solaris.
• Extensive knowledge on routing and switching
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills.
• Prior experience with a software vendor or software reseller is a plus.
• Experience conducting product training for resellers and customers.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices for hardware systems implementation.
• Experience with the installation and configuration of network security products such as firewalls, anti-virus, or intrusion detection systems.
• Demonstration of excellent customer service and customer focused account management.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred: Cisco and Checkpoint firewalls, Microsoft Proxy/ISA Server, SQL Server.
• Cisco, MCSE, S+, GSEC, RedHat, CISSP certifications desirable
